Ports America will continue to invest in infrastructure and equipment to accommodate the continued growth of container vessel operations. These investments will and have allowed the terminal to facilitate 8500-9500 TEU vessels and associated volumes

Continuous Improvement: 2019-2022 CAPEX plan called and calls for an additional $10 million in equipment and technology enhancements.

Due to Port Tampa Bay’s proximity, companies enjoy significant savings in their supply chain/distribution costs averaging $800 per container, as truckers can do three or more round trip deliveries per day to their DCs, versus only one per day if they used more distant east coast ports.
